Here’s some great recommendations of ways to reclaim summer in Orange County—at zero cost!

Yorba Linda Concerts in the Park: This is one of our favorite summer activities! Last Sunday we saw the classic rock band, The Emperors, play at Hurless Barton Park and had a blast. Pack a picnic for the whole family and check out the remaining concerts every Sunday night this August.

Big Hero 6 at Hurless Barton Park: On Friday, August 21 at Hurless Barton Park, the whole family can watch a free screening of Disney’s Big Hero 6. Movie starts at 7:45 p.m.

Brea Concerts in the Park: Every Wednesday through August 19, enjoy free live music at Brea’s City Hall Park. From salsa to 80s cover bands, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Huntington Beach Art Walk: Every third Thursday of the month from 6-9 p.m., experience the talents of visual and performing artists, live music and food in Downtown Huntington Beach.

Farmers Markets: Indulge in every bit you can of summer’s produce. Head to your local farmers market and fill your basket with fresh fruit, organic meat, and colorful flowers, to use throughout the week.

Friday Night Lawn Games: Take a trip to the Orange County Great Park in Irvine for a round of Croquet, Bocce Ball, Ladder Ball or Cornhole with the family. If you’re feeling adventurous, try out the balloon ride, too!

Orange County Fair: Summer isn’t complete without a fried Twinkie and over-sized stuffed animal. This Wednesday, receive free admission and one carnival ride with the donation of NEW school supplies valued at $5. Between noon and 3 pm. Receipt is required.

Acoustic Summer Sundays: During the summer, the House of Blues in Anaheim features talented local songwriters every Sunday night on the patio. Even better, it’s free!

Progressive Builders hopes you continue building lasting memories with your family and friends in these last few weeks.
