2. Settling for less counter space. This is a huge mistake that homeowners will regret later on. If you’re already paying a hefty chunk of change for a kitchen remodel, you should really make it work for yourself and what you need. Skimping on the counter space is one thing you don’t want compromise.
3. Adding too much open shelving. While it does give the kitchen an open and airy feel, too much open shelving can be an eyesore.
